Mechanical

Airframe & Hardware

Airframe design, manufacturing, structural analysis, and integration of physical systems.

Core Responsibilities

  • Airframe CAD modeling and aerodynamic geometry design
  • Composite manufacturing, 3D printing, and rapid prototyping
  • Structural FEA analysis and physical load testing
  • Physical systems integration and mechanical payload mounting

Electrical

Avionics & Hardware

Power distribution, avionics, sensor integration, and hardware design.

Core Responsibilities

  • Custom PCB schematic design and layout
  • High-current power distribution and battery management
  • Flight controller and onboard sensor wiring integration
  • Telemetry hardware, safety switches, and motor ESC setups

Software

Autonomy & Intelligence

Autonomous flight control, computer vision, mission planning, and ground station development.

Core Responsibilities

  • Autopilot tuning and flight controller software integration
  • Computer vision algorithms for object detection and target landing
  • Waypoint navigation, mission planning, and obstacle avoidance
  • Ground control station (GCS) UI and telemetry tracking

Operations

Testing & Logistics

Flight testing, competition logistics, safety procedures, and piloting.

Core Responsibilities

  • Flight test execution, data collection, and field logging
  • Pre-flight checklists and range safety risk management
  • Manual flight operations and safety pilot duties
  • Competition transport, site setup, and rulebook compliance

Administration

Management & Growth

Project management, recruitment, outreach, and sponsorship.

Core Responsibilities

  • Sponsorship package creation and corporate partner relations
  • Member recruitment campaigns and team onboarding
  • Project scheduling, team timelines, and budget tracking
  • Public outreach, event planning, and website management
